Attempted Kidnapping In Gaithersburg Investigated By Police

A mother was waiting for her children's school bus when a car stopped in front of her, and a man jumped out and tried to pull her in.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — A mother was waiting for her children to get off the school bus on Raven Avenue last Wednesday afternoon when a blue sedan pulled up in front of her and a man jumped out and tried to pull her inside, Montgomery County Police said. The woman for away and got help from another passing vehicle.

The suspect got into the passenger seat of the car and drove away in the direction of Girard Street, police said.

Police are asking anyone with information to call the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070.
