Gaithersburg Crime: Homicide, Sexual Assaults, Car Thefts and More

The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Montgomery County police released a crime summary for Nov. 26 through Dec. 4. The following incidents were reported in Gaithersburg:

  • A residential burglary occurred in the unit block of Crested Iris Court between Monday, Nov. 26 at 3 p.m. and Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 7 a.m. Entry to the home was forced and property was taken.
  • Attempted auto thefts were reported between Tuesday, Nov. 27 and Wednesday, Nov. 28 on Vanderbilt Circle, Washingtonian Boulevard and Gable Ridge Terrace.
  • An attempted burglary was reported on Tuesday, Nov. 27 in the 9700 block of Washingtonian Boulevard. Pry marks were discovered on a hallway door on the eighth floor. It is not known when this damage was done.
  • A sexual assault occurred outside of the unit block of Strath Haven Court on Wednesday, Nov. 28 just after 6 p.m.
  • A sexual assault occurred in the 18500 block of Cherry Laurel Lane on Saturday, Dec. 1 around 3:30 a.m. The victim was approached and assaulted.
  • .
  • Three vehicle-related thefts occurred on various evenings. Wallets, cell phones and clothing were taken from vehicles on Creekstone Court, Holland Meadow Lane and Crabapple Lane.
