Gaithersburg Public Works Dept. Starts Orchard Ridge Drive Parking Project

The work will consist of the removal of portions of the grass strip between the curbs and sidewalks to construct new parking places.

From The Gaithersburg Dept of Public Works: The City of Gaithersburg Department of Public Works will be constructing additional parking spaces along the east side of Orchard Ridge Drive. The work will consist of the removal of portions of the grass strip between the curb and sidewalk as well as the trees within this area and the construction of the new parking spaces. This construction is anticipated to begin the week of May 22, weather permitting, and will continue for approximately four weeks. The tree removal will occur prior to the actual construction.

“No Parking” signs will be posted at least 48 hours in advance of the location of the construction activity. These signs will be marked with the dates and times of the parking restrictions. If you plan to be away from your home for any length of time during this period, please make arrangements to have your vehicles parked off the street.

Work will take place on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Please check the City of Gaithersburg website for status updates. For additional information please call the Department of Public Works at 301-258-6370 or e-mail publicworks@gaithersburgmd.gov.
