Guidance Counselor Arrested For Alleged Drug Dealing In D.C.

A Montgomery County Public Schools guidance counselor was recently arrested in a drug raid at a sports bar in D.C., according to reports.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A Montgomery County Public Schools guidance counselor was recently arrested in a drug raid at a sports bar in Northwest Washington, according to reports.

Erin McKenna, a guidance counselor at Sherwood High School in Sandy Spring, was charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

McKenna was arrested at the Mason Inn at 2408 Wisconsin Ave. on Thursday, Feb. 1.

FOX 5 reports that McKenna and two others were allegedly running a "pot party" at the bar, and were selling 102 marijuana edibles, nine bags of marijuana, two glass jars of marijuana and five capsules containing "a brown liquid."

McKenna pleaded not guilty. FOX 5 says Sherwood High School’s principal sent parents a letter home that said McKenna is on administrative leave pending the results of an investigation.

The two other people arrested are Joshua Myers and Scott Price, both of Maryland.
