Hang Gets Life Without Parole For Gaithersburg Murder Of 12-Year-Old Stepdaughter

A Montgomery County Circuit Court Judge sentenced David Hang for the May 2011 killing of 12-year-old Jessica Nguyen.

A Montgomery County Circuit Court Judge sentenced David Hang to life in prison without parole for the May 2011 killing of Hang's 12-year-old stepdaughter in Gaithersburg, The Washington Post reported.

Hang was found guilty in August, when prosecutors said Hang killed the child with a sword — stabbing her more than 40 times — to get back at Nguyen's family, who contested his divorce of the girl's mother, Khen Kim Vu, in 2010.

Hang's defense attorneys said they plan to appeal his conviction, according to the report.
