GAITHERSBURG, MD — A man was shot and killed in the parking lot of the Lakeforest Mall Wednesday evening. Montgomery County Police responded to a call around 5:35 p.m., and rescue crews tried to save Terrance Donte Dimes, 29. Police said there is not a suspect in custody and the homicide unit is investigating.There are no other updates. Police are asking anyone with information to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070. This story has been updated.
