Man Fatally Shoots Himself During Barricade Situation In Gaithersburg: Police
A man died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside his Gaithersburg home during an hours-long barricade situation, police said.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — A man killed himself inside his Gaithersburg home during an hours-long barricade situation early Tuesday morning, according to reports.
The man's family called Montgomery County Police at about 10 p.m. Monday because they were concerned for the man's wellbeing.
Officers arrived at the house at 20519 Farcroft Ln., where the man had barricaded himself inside the home. Two family members made it out of the house, police said.

According to ABC7, the man refused to come out of the house for about three hours. Police said they wanted to bring him to a hospital, but he told officers he would "not be taken alive."
Officers went inside the home after hours of negotiating and found the man deceased with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
