Montgomery County's first Wegmans will open 7 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, in Germantown, the grocery chain announced Wednesday. The 123,000 square-foot store will anchor Seneca Meadows Plaza, near Interstate 270 exit 16. The Germantown store is Wegmans' seventh in Maryland. The company recently announced that it is accepting applications for 350 part-time workers. Of the store's 600, employees, 550 would be local hires. Hiring for full-time positions began in February.
