Separate Shootings Injure 3 In Montgomery County: Police

Three people were wounded in separate shootings in Montgomery County on Saturday, police said.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — Three people were injured in two separate shootings in Montgomery County on Saturday.

Montgomery County police say they were called to a local hospital around 8:50 p.m., after two two people sought medical attention for their gunshot wounds.

The man and woman's injuries were non-life-threatening, police said. Investigators believe the shooting occurred on Quebec Terrace in Silver Spring.

A little over an hour later, authorities received a call about a second shooting. This one took place in Gaithersburg.

Officers from both the Montgomery County and Gaithersburg police departments responded to the unit block of Montgomery Village Avenue around 10 p.m. Upon arrival, officers located a 19-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police said the man is expected to survive.
