Woman Caught On Camera Poisoning Co-Worker's Drink: Report

The woman reportedly faces up to 50 years in prison.

A woman was caught on camera pouring deadly ingredients into her co-worker’s bottle of water at the BlueMercury Spa in Gaithersburg, ABC7 is reporting.

Sofia Santa Cruz was doing her mother’s makeup in the store, ABC7 reported when she went to take a swig of her Fiji water bottle.

She immediately knew something was up.

“I ingested poison,” she told ABC7. “Somebody put something in my drink.

Included among the ingredients were sulfur, acid and alcohol, part of a beauty product designed to dry out skin to prevent acne.

Santa Cruz began to “vomit uncontrollably” in the bathroom and later called police.

Surveillance video showed Luz Lemonfield pouring the substance in her water bottle. She is due in court November 20 and faces up to 50 years in prison, ABC7 reported.
