Damascus Man Charged With Rape; More Underage Victims Possible: Police
A Damascus man has been charged with rape and sex offenses against three girls. Montgomery County Police worry there are more victims.
DAMASCUS, MD — A Montgomery County man has been charged with two felony counts of sexual assault, felony rape and three misdemeanor counts of sex abuse of girls, and police believe there may be more victims.
Detectives on Nov. 8 arrested and charged Irvin Ariel Portillo, 28, of Damascus, with multiple offenses related to the rape and sexual abuse of three underage girls.
Authorities said in a news release there may be other victims and encouraged them to come forward.

On Oct. 29 detectives began investigating the reported rape of a teenage girl by Portillo. Their work led police to identify two other victims.
On Nov. 8, authorities served Portillo with an arrest warrant on charges including second-degree rape and third-degree sexual offense, according to court records. Portillo was taken into custody and processed at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he is being held without bond.
