Fatal Germantown Shooting Investigation Still Underway, Police Say
A 19-year-old was shot and killed in Germantown in February, Montgomery County Police said. The investigation is ongoing.
GERMANTOWN, MD — Montgomery County Police officers are still investigating a shooting in Germantown that occurred in February at the intersection of Cinnamon Drive and Mustard Seed Court.
Keon Jones, a 19-year-old from Germantown, was walking home when a car drove up and someone inside shot him, police said. Officers responded to calls of a shooting around 9:05 p.m. and found Jones with a gunshot wound, according to a police news release.
Jones was taken to the hospital, where he died.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the Feb. 10 shooting to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070 or contact Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). There may be a reward of up to $10,000 for anyone with information leading to an arrest, police said.
