Fraud Suspect Used Fake ID To Withdraw Money Around MOCO, Police Say
Montgomery County Police are investigating a woman who is accused of fraudulently withdrawing money from banks in MOCO.

GERMANTOWN, MD — Montgomery County Police released surveillance video of a woman they said used a fake ID to withdraw money from multiple banks in Germantown in December.
Authorities say that the woman went to the SkyPoint Federal Credit Union in the 19700 block of Crystal Rock Drive in Germantown around 12:40 p.m. on Dec. 13, 2021 and said she was the bank account holder's wife, showing a fake ID, and withdrew money from the account. About a half hour later, the woman went to SkyPoint Federal Credit Union on Colesville Road and did the same thing, police said. About a half hour after that, the woman did it again at the Rockville branch, according to authorities.
Police did not say how much money was withdrawn.

Authorities described the suspect as a woman around 50, with a medium build and blonde hair. She was wearing a brown scarf, black jacket, black jeans and black boots in the surveillance video.

Police said a reward of up to $10,000 could be offered to anyone with information leading to an arrest.
