Germantown Family Welcomes First Baby of 2013

The New Year’s countdown held a special meaning for a Germantown family, who welcomed the first baby of 2013 at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville. 

Baby Hana arrived at 2:43 a.m. New Year's Day weighing 6 pounds, 6 ounces. 

For delivering the fist baby of the year, parents Aditi and Thammiah received a basket of gifts.

A hospital spokeswoman said mom and baby were resting and “doing well.”
