Dentist Charged With Murder Of Former Patient, Romantic Partner
Dr. James Ryan of Germantown is accused of killing a former patient and romantic partner by giving her drugs she overdosed on, police said.

GERMANTOWN, MD — Montgomery County police have arrested a Germantown oral surgeon accused of killing a former patient he had developed a romantic relationship with.
Dr. James Ryan, who owns Evolution Oral Surgery, has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Sarah Harris.
Harris, a former patient of Dr. Ryan, had been in a relationship with the doctor, police said.

Police said she fatally overdosed on Jan. 26, 2022, after being provided controlled substances, including Propofol, by Dr. Ryan.
She was provided drugs by Dr. Ryan from March 2021 until her death, according to police.

Police arrested Dr. Ryan Tuesday morning.
According to his business website, Dr. Ryan has worked in the health care field for more than 25 years.
His practice is located at 19851 Observation Drive in Germantown.
