Human Remains Located In Germantown Field: Police

BREAKING NEWS: A resident walking in a field in Germantown stumbled upon human remains Monday afternoon, police said.

GERMANTOWN, MD — A resident stumbled upon human remains while walking in a field along Great Seneca Highway in Germantown Monday afternoon, Montgomery County Police announced Tuesday.

Police say the man was walking in the 12600 block of Great Seneca Hwy. at about 4:42 p.m. when he located the skeletal remains. The bones were not concealed or located in any type of grave, police said.

There were no obvious signs of trauma to the remains. Police are conducting a death investigation and sent the remains to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause and manner of death.
