Missing Teen Id'ed As Victim Found Dead In Car In Germantown

UPDATES: A teenager who was reported missing was found dead inside a car in a shopping center parking lot in Germantown, police said.

(Updated at 4:08 p.m. Monday): GERMANTOWN, MD — A teenager who was reported missing was found dead inside a car in a shopping center parking lot in Germantown Friday evening, Montgomery County Police said.

The teen was located at about 6:08 p.m. at the Milestone Center at 20900 Frederick Rd.

Police announced Monday that the body belongs to Nicholas Ryan McGinnis, 19, from Middletown, Md. His family reported him as a missing person to the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office on June 4, police said.

According to the Maryland Center for Missing and Unidentified Persons, McGinnis was last seen in Middletown on June 2.

His body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the manner and cause of his death, police said.

The autopsy results are pending but the OCME reported no visible signs of trauma to McGinnis’ body, police announced Monday.
