Men Fire Shots During Burglary In Germantown Home: Police

Two men fired multiple shots inside a Germantown residence during a home invasion late Monday night, Montgomery County Police said.

GERMANTOWN, MD — Two men fired shots inside a Germantown residence during a home invasion late Monday night, Montgomery County Police said.

The unknown suspects broke into a home in the 13600 block of Demetrias Way just before midnight.

A woman reported to detectives that she heard the sound of gunshots inside her house and went to investigate. She was confronted by the two suspects, who threatened her with a handgun and demanded cash, police said.

During the investigation, detectives determined that the suspects fired several shots while inside the residence. Some of the shots penetrated a wall of the home and entered a neighboring home, police said.

The suspects obtained property from the home and fled. No injuries were reported.

One of the suspects was armed, police said. He is described as a black male in his 30s who is about 6'1". The second suspect is described as a black man between 20 and 30 years old, who is about 5'9" and weighs 250 pounds.
