Montgomery Village Woman Surprised By $50,000 Win
A Montgomery Village woman who is a loyal scratch-off player bought a winning $50,000 ticket at a Germantown liquor store.

GERMANTOWN, MD — A Montgomery County player is $50,000 richer after winning the top prize on a Gold Bar Bingo 4th Edition instant ticket, according to the Maryland Lottery.
The Montgomery Village resident is a loyal scratch-off player who realized her luck after she scanned the instant ticket’s prize check area for a win at a liquor store.
“She was surprised when she saw she had won,” said her daughter, who accompanied her mom to Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.

The transportation driver told Lottery officials she is undecided on how she will spend her fortune, a lottery news release said.
The winning ticket was sold at Chapel Beer and Wine, 19737 Frederick Road in Montgomery County. The Germantown retailer will receive a $500 bonus from the Lottery for selling a top-prize winning scratch-off.

This is the sixth top-prize win on the $5 game; two top prizes remain. There are also five $10,000 prizes outstanding, along with others ranging from $5 to $5,000.
