Motorcyclist Dies In Crash With Combine-Harvester In Germantown
A Germantown motorcyclist died when his bike collided with a John Deere combine on Old Hundred Road, Montgomery County Police said.
GERMANTOWN, MD — Authorities have released the name of a Germantown motorcyclist who died Saturday when his bike collided with a John Deere combine-harvester.
The fatal motorcycle collision happened about 1:51 p.m. Saturday, July 20, in the 24800 of Old Hundred Road, according to a news release from Montgomery County Police.
Investigators said Ian Capps, 45, was riding a 2018 Indian Scout motorcycle southbound on Old Hundred Road when, for reasons that are still under investigation, the bike collided with a John Deere combine-harvester that was northbound on Old Hundred Road.

Capps was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The operator of the combine remained at the scene.
