• MBLI charter school will fight closure effort in Montgomery County (wtop.com) — A new charter school that was supposed to open in Germantown is now fighting a move by Montgomery County’s school superintendent to revoke its charter, after audits cited special education and compliance problems. The school, currently operating in a Bethesda holding facility, disputes the findings and has appealed to the state, while some parents say their children are thriving and plan to lobby the school board in January.
