Police Investigating Armed Robbery At Germantown 7-Eleven

Police said the suspect removed money from the cash registers at the Germantown 7-Eleven and then ran out of the store.

GERMANTOWN, MD — Detectives with the Montgomery County Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who committed an armed robbery of a 7-Eleven on Saturday, July 23, 2022.

At approximately 3 a.m., officers said they responded to the 7-Eleven on the 12800 block of Clopper Rd. in Germantown for a robbery that just occurred.

Upon arrival, officers said they spoke with the store employee who stated that a man walked into a store, ran up behind him, placed a gun to his back and demanded that he open the cash registers and give him money.

Police said the employee complied with the suspect’s demands and opened all of the registers. The suspect then removed money from the registers and then ran out of the store next to Clopper Road.

The suspect is described as a shorter Black man and is approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall. He was seen wearing a red ski mask, a long sleeve black shirt with white buttons, black gloves, black jeans and black sneakers. The suspect was armed with a handgun.
