Police Seek Man Wanted For Attempted Kidnappings In Germantown
Police said a man who tried to kidnap a 13-year-old girl in Germantown approached a 16-year-old girl two separate times in months prior.

GERMANTOWN, MD — Police said a man accused of trying to kidnap a 13-year-old girl in Germantown Friday tried to lure a 16-year-old girl into his car two separate times in months prior.
The most recent incident happened on Friday, when the unknown man approached the victim as she was walking home from the 7-Eleven at 12681 Clopper Rd.
The driver asked the victim if she needed a ride. When she said no, the man allegedly parked and exited his car. He approached the girl, grabbed her arm and tried to pull her towards him, police said. The girl managed to escape and run home.

After releasing the information, police were contacted by the family of a second female who reported that the same suspect approached her twice.
The girl said the first incident happened about eight weeks ago at a bus stop in the 18300 block of Leaman Farm Rd. The suspect approached her at about 3:20 p.m. and asked if she needed a ride. She told him she did not, and he drove away from the area, police said.

About two weeks later, the same victim was walking from her home to the 7-Eleven on Clopper Road at about 9 a.m. The man approached her again and asked if she needed a ride. The victim declined his offer and he drove away, police said.
Detectives interviewed both victims and determined that this same suspect was involved in all three incidents.
Investigators released a composite sketch of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him. The suspect is described by police as a Hispanic male, possibly in his 30’s, 5′10″ and thin.
Detectives are asking anyone who recognizes the suspect or who may have information about these events to call the Special Victims Investigations Division at 240-773-5400. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to their line that leads to an arrest and/or indictment for this crime.
