Rockville Ice Dancers Take Home Gold Medal

Siblings Caroline and Gordon Green are now three-time national champions.

A Rockville sibling duo took home the gold medal at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Greensboro, NC, this week.

Caroline and Gordon Green, 11 and 13, finished first in all three of their dances in the novice category, winning out against the other 12 pairs of ice dancers, The Washington Post reports. The siblings are now three-time national champions.

Other skaters from the Wheaton Ice Skating Academy also took home medals, the news outlet reports. Elizabeth Tkachenko, 8, of Rockville, and Alexei Kiliakov Jr., 9, of Gaithersburg, took home gold medals in the juvenile category.

Another Rockville duo, Emma Gunter, 12, and Caleb Wein, 13, came in third place in the novice level.
