Spring is Springing at INSPIRED! Art Show & Sale + Special Events
Paintings, fiber art, photographs, hand-crafted jewelry, original prints, art books, ceramics, and more, + exciting FREE special events!
Come spring, we think of warmer weather, freshness and renewal…and enjoying art is a perfect way to feel this energy. The artists of the Art League of Germantown will put you in the mood for the season with their INSPIRED! 2025 art show & sale at the BlackRock Center for the Arts, May 3rd through June 1st. Paintings, fiber art, photographs, hand-crafted jewelry, original prints, art books, ceramic pieces, mixed media, and more.
Throughout INSPIRED!, free special events are in store, including fine craft weekends, Family Day on May 10, a special table of UNDER $20 GIFTS for Mother’s Day, a presentation by six master oil painters who demonstrate their craft, a guided tour with Michael Marschark through his treehouse exhibit in Gallery II, and a unique drawing game to express your intuitive artistic skills. And don’t miss the Community Canvas each weekend, where you can make your own mark. And there's more - the full schedule is at www.alog.org!
Wander through the Kay Gallery and see the varied media on display. What catches your eye? Animals and birds captivate Nancy Jakubowski—not just for their beauty, but for the emotions they evoke. You’ll have the chance to take home one of Marge Wasson and Amy Lance’s Wonder Journals, small blank-page journals that invite you to guess what you see in the image on the front cover; find the answer (scrambled) on the back and use the QR code to discover something more. Katarina Oberg’s In Defense of Mankind is a unique handmade black and white woodcut print based on the intricate chainmail worn by a European warrior. Marylou Bono’s fused glass pendants are colorful statement pieces inspired by her love of design, abstract art and color. She also creates repurposed vintage jewelry and works in metals and stones.
