Tractor Trailer Hit Cyclist In Germantown, Police Say
A tractor trailer hit a cyclist on Frederick Road after the cyclist fell, Montgomery County Police said. The driver stayed at the scene.

GERMANTOWN, MD — A cyclist was hospitalized after a collision with a tractor trailer in Germantown Friday afternoon, Montgomery County Police said.
The biker and driver were both heading north on on Frederick Road, passing Stringtown Road. While the tractor trailer drove passed the bike the cyclist hit the back end of the trailer and fell, and the tractor trailer hit him, authorities said.
The driver of the tractor stayed at the crash, and the biker was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.

A bystander "likely provided some life-saving action," Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Spokesperson Pete Piringer said on Twitter.
Police are asking anyone with information about the crash to call CRU detectives at 240-773-6620.
