1st Amazon Fresh In Baltimore Area To Open In Glen Burnie

GLEN BURNIE, MD — The Baltimore area's first Amazon Fresh store will open Nov. 7 at 6711 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie.

Store hours will be from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.

"We’re proud to support the community by creating dozens of jobs and by donating surplus food from the Amazon Fresh store to Maryland Food Bank," the company said in a news release.

The 42,000-square-foot Amazon Fresh store in Glen Burnie will feature the company's latest brick-and-mortar design. Customers can expect to find a wide selection of national brands, high-quality produce and protein, as well as Amazon’s private-label brands like Aplenty, Amazon Fresh, Amazon Saver, and 365 by Whole Foods Market, a news release said.

Customers can receive same day grocery delivery or free grocery pickup, the company said. Shoppers can skip checkout with the Amazon Dash Cart and use the Alexa Shopping List in the Amazon app. The store also offers free in-store pickup and returns of Amazon packages.

Amazon Fresh has an assortment of national brands and quality produce, meat and seafood, as well as prepared foods made fresh in store every day — with deals on Atlantic salmon, honeycrisp apples, Thomas Bagels, and more, a press release said. The store will offer everything you need to entertain, including a selection of crackers, cheeses, and charcuterie from local and national brands, and condiments and sauces from around the world.

Customers will also find grab and go sandwiches, salads, wraps, and snack boxes, along with take-and-bake pizzas, ready-to-heat burritos, and ready-made meals to simplify dinner plans.

Look for more than 35 regional brands and favorites at the Glen Burnie Amazon Fresh store, including Tessemae's condiments, Smithfield, and True Made Foods.

Prime members can save on more grocery items from Amazon Fresh, which recently announced it expanded its Prime savings program on over 3,000 grocery items for members, including up to 50% off on eight to 15 grocery favorites that rotate each week, including fresh produce, protein, and pantry staples.
