Bank Robbed In Anne Arundel County, 2 Baltimore Suspects Arrested: Police

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A Glen Burnie bank was robbed recently and two Baltimore suspects were arrested, Anne Arundel County police said.

Officers accused Frank Edward Williams, 35, and Bernard Albert Turner, 44, of robbing a Glen Burnie Wells Fargo this weekend.

Authorities said they were alerted for an armed robbery in progress Saturday around 11 a.m. at the bank, located at 6708 Ritchie Highway.

Police said they learned that two suspects robbed at least one teller while flashing a gun.

The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money and ran away before boarding a moped and driving off on Ordnance Road toward Pennington Avenue, officers said.

Baltimore City police made contact with the suspects in the 1500 block of Hanover Street, a press release said.

Officers took one suspect into custody without further incident, the release said, but the other ran into a home on Hanover Street.

Authorities found and arrested that suspect after a short search, the release said.

Police said they recovered the stolen money and other evidence.

Officers said they identified the suspects and charged them accordingly.

There were no injuries reported, authorities said.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department is still investigating.
