Glen Burnie: Pedestrian struck

A 67-year-old pedestrian was struck by a car around 6:24 a.m. Tuesday near Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard and Kuethe Road, according to Capt. James Rostek, spokesman with the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.
The woman was taken to shock trauma with serious, but not life threatening injuries.

Glen Burnie:
Police arrested a Curtis Bay man after receiving an anonymous complaint of marijuana plants growing at a residence.
Kwane Owusu Greenide, 36, was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, manufacturing marijuana and the possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and drug packaging material.
According to a police press release, officers responded to the 400 block of Carvel Beach Road in Curtis Bay at about 10 a.m. Monday after receiving an anonymous complaint alleging that marijuana was being grown in the apartment.
Once on the scene, detectives saw nine suspected marijuana plants in various stages of growth, which they seized and later determined to have an estimated street value of $3,300, police said.
Brooklyn: Fall
A 51-year-old man was taken to shock trauma with serious but not life threatening injuries from a fall near Audrey Avenue and 1st Street around 6:18 p.m. Monday, according to Capt. James Rostek, spokesman with the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.

Glen Burnie:
Police arrested a Glen Burnie man early Sunday morning in connection with the stabbing of a clerk and robbery of a Mobil gas station.
Joseph Earl Schrump, 22, of Glen Burnie was charged with attempted second-degree murder, two counts of robbery, first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.
According to a police press release, officers responded to a Mobil gas station in the 7200 block of Ritchie Highway at about 3:45 a.m. Sunday for a reported robbery.
Once on the scene, officers saw an altercation in the doorway of the Mobil and after investigation determined that the clerk resisted and struggled with Schrump when police said he attempted to rob the store. During the struggle, police said Schrump pulled a knife and stabbed the clerk, causing multiple cuts.
Police said Schrump then ran from the scene to the nearby and officers established a perimeter around the area. They spotted Schrump on the northern edge of the cemetery when he was arrested.

Glen Burnie:
Maryland State Police (MSP) charged a New Jersey man Thursday with human trafficking and other charges after an Aug. 19 motor vehicle collision led police to believe he was transporting prostitutes along the East Coast.
Uzodimma Nnamdi Oguh, 32, of Elizabeth, NJ, was charged with six counts of human trafficking, three counts of prostitution, one count of motor vehicle theft and other related chages, according to an MSP press release.
According to the release, a car accident involving a woman who police said was working as a prostitute for Oguh led them to a Baltimore hotel room where they found evidence including clothing, electronic equipment, cameras, photographs and condoms.
Police allege that Oguh transported women to several cities along the East Coast.
Glen Burnie: Armed robbery
A man robbed a Glen Burnie Rita’s Italian Ice store at gunpoint Sept. 8, police said.
According to a police press release, officers responded to the Rita’s in the 7300 block of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Glen Burnie for a reported robbery.
Once on the scene, officers spoke with the store manager who said a man placed an order at the window and when the manager returned the man revealed what is believed to have been a handgun that was in his waistband and demanded money. The manager complied and gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash and his order before the man ran across Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard. The man was last seen walking southbound on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard passing the Cromwell Lightrail Station.
Several officers and a K-9 unit searched the area but were unable to find the man.
Brooklyn Park:
Anne Arundel County Police arrested a Brooklyn Park man Thursday in connection with several drug charges.
Orlando Coates Jr., 41, was charged with manufacturing crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine and Percocet with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and other drug and gun charges.
According to a police press release, Anne Arundel County and Baltimore City police officers executed a search and seizure warrant in the 4900 block of Brookwood Road in Brooklyn Park after investigating possible drug activitiy at the residence.
Officers found and seized about 4.6 grams of suspected cocaine, five suspected Percocet pills, a small amount of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia, a Ruger .45-caliber handgun, a 12-gauge shotgun and $205 in cash.
Glen Burnie:
More than a dozen people were trapped in their cars by floodwaters Sept. 8 around the county as powerful storms flooded area roadways, according to Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokesman Chief Michael Cox.
A driver was able to escape from a car at 12:43 a.m. near Oakwood and Aquahart roads in Glen Burnie, where the water was up to the car’s doorjambs, Cox said.
