Empire Towers Sold, Renovations Planned
The iconic building on Ritchie Highway was sold at auction in January, according to reports.

Passing by the Empire Towers on Ritchie Highway, one may think everything is business as usual, but the building is actually under new ownership, according to a report in The Maryland Gazette.
Daljit Sawhney, who also owns Crain Towers, purchased the almost 40-year-old building for $3.1 million at auction, according to the report.
Built in 1974, the building now sits with more than 40 percent of its lease space unoccupied, but Sawhney plans to completely renovate the building in the next year. Read more of the Gazette story here.
