4th grade

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

Lauren truly cares about her children in her class. A lot of them are from single parent families and do not speak English very well. Lauren takes the time to get to know her children by eating lunch with them every day in the cafeteria and choosing a different student to sit with and talk about their lives and hobbies.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

Lauren will take her own time out of her day to help students with English after school. She also attends their sporting events and shows positive support to them always. In her school that is not always possible as the children are from low income and one parent families. She is truly there for her students and makes sure they know they can always come to her.
