Glen Burnie Sees Second 3-Alarm Fire in 12 Hours
Firefighters battled the blaze that damaged three townhomes in the Fox Chase community on Tuesday afternoon.
Three townhouses in the Fox Chase neighborhood of Glen Burnie were damaged in a three-alarm fire Tuesday afternoon—the . An earlier three-alarm fire had occurred at the Villages at Marley Station.
In the Fox Chase fire, Anne Arundel County firefighters received a call at about 3:40 p.m. for a deck fire at 219 Fox Manor Lane, according to spokesman Lt. Keith Hamilton.
Once on the scene, firefighters saw flames on the back deck of the townhouse had spread to the roof and wre damaging the townhouses on either side, Hamilton said.

Firefighters called for a second and eventually a third alarm bringing a total of 64 firefighters to the battle the fire, he said. After checking to make sure the townhouse was empty, firefighters fought the fire from inside and outside.
The cause, estimated damage and number of people displaced by the fire was not known as of 5 p.m. Tuesday.
