Governor Ritchie Highway Resurfacing Project Underway

The work near Glen Burnie will take place overnight, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sundays through Thursdays, until the project is finished this fall.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration began resurfacing Governor Ritchie Highway between Furnace Branch Road and Baltimore Beltway in Glen Burnie Sunday. The work will take place overnight, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sundays through Thursdays, until the project is finished this fall.

Crews also will be resurfacing the ramps at the I-695/MD 2 interchange and directing traffic using overnight signed detours. Drivers should expect single lane closures in both directions of MD 2.
