- Anne Arundel County Public Schools' Visual Arts Office is delighted to announce the return of its Elementary Winter Wonderland Art Exhibit. The elementary winter-themed artwork is being presented at Westfield Annapolis Mall through Jan 6, 2022. The exhibit will proudly feature approximately 200 students and is located in front of The Container Store. Subject matter ranges from vibrant snowy scenes, penguins, and snowmen to abstract snowflake designs. (Press Release Desk )
- A Baltimore man was sentenced to prison after he admitted to being found with fentanyl and crack cocaine during an arrest in Glen Burnie last year. Collin Levar Smith, 21, recently pleaded guilty to possessing a large amount of a controlled substance. On Dec. 2, 2021, Smith was sentenced to five years in prison. (Report Annapolis)
- It was a close call for Kim and her family who were forced to evacuate their West Baltimore home Friday because of a heavy fire next door. “I was looking at TV and my nephew came up and said the back of the house was on fire,” said Kim, who didn’t want to give her last name. She’s feeling grateful to have made it out in time. “I’m just thankful that everybody made it out. The other stuff can be replaced,” she said. The fire happened in the 1500 block of Argyle Avenue shortly before 5 p.m. (wmar2news)
