Human Remains Found Along I-695 In Anne Arundel County: Police
BREAKING: The remains were clothed but no identification was found with or near the body, authorities said.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — Human remains were discovered down an embankment on I-695 in Anne Arundel County Friday afternoon and a criminal investigation is underway, Maryland State Police said.
A motorist stopped on the interstate made the grim discovery shortly after 4:30 p.m. Friday. While out of his car, the driver saw what appeared to be human remains down the embankment and called 911.
Investigators found human skeletal remains lying on top of the ground. The remains were clothed but no identification was found with or near the body.

The scene was secured overnight and investigators will be returning to the site today.
The remains have been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy.

State police said that while the cause and manner of death are not known at this time, nothing is being ruled out and they are investigating this as a potential homicide.
