Linthicum Crash Sends Two to Shock Trauma

A Corvette struck a utility pole and police said excessive speed may have been a factor.

Anne Arundel County police are investigating a crash in Linthicum on Wednesday that sent a man and woman to Shock Trauma in critical condition.

Shortly after 11 p.m., emergency crews found a 1998 Chevrolet Corvette resting against a utility pole on Hammonds Ferry Road near Evelyn Avenue. Inside the vehicle, they found a male driver and a female passenger unresponsive from the crash.

Crews transported Harry Franklin White, 44, and Grace Anderson, 32, both of Baltimore, to Shock Trauma in critical condition.

Police said an initial investigation suggests the driver may have failed to negotiate a curve on Hammonds Ferry Road due to excessive speed.
