Loaded Gun Seized at BWI Checkpoint

A Lancaster man was arrested after the TSA said it seized a loaded .380 caliber firearm and magazine.

Security workers at BWI Airport last week arrested a Lancaster man after reportedly finding a loaded gun in his carry-on bag.

The Transportation Security Administration said officers detected the loaded gun at a security checkpoint on August 8. They immediately contacted the Maryland Transportation Authority Police, who confiscated a .380 caliber gun loaded with five rounds. Officers also confiscated a magazine loaded with six rounds.

The man, a resident of Washington Boro, PA, was arrested on a state weapons charge. He was initially scheduled to fly to Las Vegas.
