Man Dies in Crash After Apparent Heart Attack

Police said the victim crossed into opposing traffic, swerved, then struck a fast food sign and dumpster.

A 67-year-old man was killed in a Friday night wreck in Glen Burnie, authorities said.

Anne Arundel County police said Clifton Taylor Kimes, 67, of Pasadena, died after a wreck Friday at approximately 8 p.m.

When authorities arrived, Kimes was having a heart attack, police said.

"All evidence suggests that the driver of the vehicle may have suffered a medical event prior to the crash that caused his death," according to the report

An investigation revealed that Kimes' Chrysler minivan was traveling south on Crain Highway when it crossed into northbound lanes. Kimes them swerved, leaving the roadway and struck two signs at a McDonald's in the 6000 block of Ritchie Highway, then struck a dumpster behind a Wendy's, according to the report.
