Man Found Unconscious in Apartment Fire Late Thursday

Fire officials say a man suffered non-life threatening injuries in an apartment fire.

One man suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries in a Glen Burnie apartment fire late Thursday, according to the Anne Arundel County Department.

Division Chief Keith Swindle said crews responded to the fire, on the 200 block of Woodhill Drive, shortly before midnight. Firefighters found a man unconscious in an upper-floor unit as smoke was showing from an apartment window.

A crew transported the man to Baltimore Washington Medical Center for smoke inhalation, and Swindle said the injuries were serious, but non-life threatening.

Swindle said investigators have not announced a cause of the fire, or an estimate of the damages.
