  1. One company has been dismissed from the competitive bidding for Ocean City government’s marketing business next year following officials’ discover that a consultant working with the city’s tourism department is married to an individual at the agency. City Manager Doug Miller said last week that Baltimore-based TBC Inc. was no longer in the running as a potential advertising company. The issue, as discovered last week, was Vernot is married to Brent Burkhardt whose LinkedIn profile not only has him listed in a public relations role for Choptank, but also as an executive for TBC. 2. Sports Card Collecting Is Back But Its A Little Different Than You May Remember. Whether you were a little boy or a little girl, you remember someone from your childhood who collected sports cards. Yup, those same old cards maybe your mom threw away or are still stuffed away in your attic. Well, what you thought was long gone is back. An interest that has resurfaced 20 to 30 years later. Cards that are worth hundreds, tens of thousands and some – even millions of dollars. (CBS Baltimore)
  3. Dennis Tetso has been in prison since 2010, convicted of murdering his wife, Tracey Gardner, despite the fact her body was never found. He was sentenced to 18 years and denied parole a few years ago. Now, according to the Department of Corrections, he will be released early for good behavior. It was back in 2005 when Gardner went missing after not returning home from a rock concert. The only clue in the case at the time was her car that was parked in a parking lot off of Ritchie Highway. In the end, Tetso would be found guilty of her murder even though a body was never found. There is now disappointment from Gardner's family and friends finding out that Tetso will be released from prison early. (WBAL Baltimore)
  4. Santa Claus returned to Marley Station Mall recently. He invited families to take pictures through Dec. 21. Photo packages cost $34.99 to $44.99. Reservations are available at this link. Saint Nick's workshop is located in Center Court, which is in the middle of the mall. (Glen Burnie Patch)
