Marathon Explosion: Four Local Runners in Boston
Patch is awaiting word on the safety of runners following a deadly explosion near the finish line. People from the Glen Burnie area can use Red Cross Safe and Well site.

At least two people have been killed and dozens have been hurt in explosions near the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday afternoon.
There were at least four runners from the Glen Burnie area who were on the entry list for the race. To learn if they have been found safe, you can check the Red Cross "Safe and Well" website to see if they have registered there.

- Keith Levasseur, of Glen Burnie
- Candice Rhine, of Glen Burnie
- Jose Romero, of Glen Burnie
- Philip Turner, of Linthicum
According to the Boston Marathon's online tracker, Rhine finished the race just at 2:12 p.m., approximately 30 minutes before the explosions. Rhine finished closest to the time of the explosions, out of the four local runners.
Romero finished at 2:11 p.m., according to the results website.
