  1. On Jan. 26, Glen Burnie High School will celebrate Mo Gaba Day. Gaba was a Baltimore sports fan from Glen Burnie who inspired many. He gained attention after he started calling into 105.7 The Fan beginning in 2015 to share his sports knowledge. He was Just 14 years old when he died in June 2020. He battled bone cancer most of his life, starting when he was just 9 months old. He was also blind. (Glen Burnie High School Calendar)
  2. Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan declared a 30-day state of emergency. The action was presented after the state hit 3,057 hospitalizations due COVID-19 cases. The plan will mobilize 1,000 members of the Maryland National Guard to help local health officials. About 250 National Guard members will be deployed to support COVID-19 testing sites across Maryland, including at hospitals and nursing facilities, and to assist with patient transport. (Newsbreak)
  3. Have you heard about the Saturday Night Live Coffee House in Glen Burnie? It was created in 1993 and is a venue for various Christian bands to perform at North Glen Community Church.
