New Day Care, Preschool Opens In Glen Burnie

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A new day care serving infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-aged kiddos has opened its doors in Glen Burnie. Celebree School, owned by Jason Skidmore, set down roots in Glen Burnie for several reasons.

"Based on current and future residential growth, Glen Burnie was an ideal location for a preschool. Families have the convenience of I97, which is a commuter route between Baltimore and Annapolis, and quick access to I695 and I95. There's also great, convenient access for those families traveling to and from work, as well as having direct access to most large retail box stores and restaurants," Skidmore told Patch.

Kiddos age 6 weeks to 12 years of age can participate in the preschool format, with older kids attending before and after school, as well as during the summer for special programs and camps. The facility has almost 11,000 square feet with an enrollment capacity of 150 kids.

According to Skidmore, Celebree School "lives by its promise to 'Grow People Big and Small,'" and was founded on the belief that success in early childhood development is equal parts curriculum and a connection that extends beyond the classroom to address the needs of the whole child and family.

“I didn’t have access to the best education growing up. That experience fueled me to champion a quality education for my own family and others in the Glen Burnie community,” Skidmore said. “I started my first business at the age of 20, growing it from a staff of three to over 350 team members. Now I’m looking forward to channeling my business knowledge and deep passion for early childhood education into the success of my new school.”

The Celebree School in Glen Burnie features a new state-of-the-art playground and is located at 6934 Aviation Boulevard.
