Uzodimma Nnamdi Oguh, 32, of Elizabeth, NJ, was charged with six counts of human trafficking, three counts of prostitution, one count of motor vehicle theft and other related chages, according to an MSP press release.

Later that day, shortly before 8 a.m., MSP responded to the scene of a reported crash involving a Honda Accord and a large passenger motor coach on Interstate 295 north at Interstate 695 in Linthicum. There were no reported injuries.

Police determined that the Accord, which had temporary New Jersey registration, had been stolen. The driver, a 21-year-old woman who was the only occupant in the car, was arrested on the scene and charged with motor vehicle theft.

During the investigation the woman told police the car had been given to her by Oguh, whom she said was her boyfriend. She also said Oguh had assaulted her.

Further investigation revealed that the woman, as well as other women, had reportedly been working as prostitutes for Oguh in the Baltimore area. Police allege that Oguh transported woman to several cities along the East Coast.

Police executed a search warrant at a Baltimore hotel where Oguh allegedly was running his operation and found evidence including clothing, electronic equipment, cameras, photographs and condoms.

Oguh is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center on $250,000 bond. The investigation is ongoing.
