• BWI Airport's $425 million expansion nears completion with new connector opening Jan. 9 (wmar2news.com) — Residents near Glen Burnie will soon see major upgrades at nearby BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport, with a new connector between Concourses A and B opening January 9, 2026. The $425 million project adds brighter gate areas, more seating and charging, and a much larger baggage system, plus new opportunities for small and local businesses inside the terminal.
