Anne Arundel County Executive Steuart Pittman suggested a voluntary public campaign financing system that would sponsor county candidates' election campaigns with public money instead of donations. Pittman said that public financing system would give a fair chance to local candidates without wealthy donors to be elected. (Patch)
2. Nearby News: Four unidentified suspects stole an ATM machine from the Garden American Eatery on Monday morning in Baltimore City, then they fled from the scene. Police are investigating the crime and asking the public's help for any information related to the theft to call 911. (WMAR2NEWS)
3. A traffic stop in Glen Burnie led to a drug related charges and arrest on Jan. 6. The arrest was made at Crain Highway and Crainmont Drive. During the stop, the police officer searched the vehicle and found 535.15 grams of marijuana, 50 suspected Oxycodone Hydrochloride pills and packaging material. (Newsbreak)
