Police Seek Information About December 2010 Fight at Golden Corral

Anne Arundel County Police would like to speak with any witnesses of a fight at the Glen Burnie Golden Corral on Dec. 7, 2010, that a medical examiner said led to the death of a Halethorpe man.

Police officers are looking for people who may have witnessed a fight in a Glen Burnie Golden Corral in December 2010 that led to the the death of a Halethorpe man.

According to police, officers responded to the Golden Corral restaurant located in the 6700 block of Chesapeake Center Drive in Glen Burnie at about 2:30 p.m. Dec. 7, 2010, for a reported altercation. Police learned that Francis Lewis Sr. was involved in an altercation inside the restaurant with another man.

When police arrived the second man—who is described as being white, between 18-21 years old, weighing about 200 pounds and having on blue jeans and a white T-shirt—was no longer was on the scene.

Lewis was taken to a local hospital for treatment and in April 2011 died from injuries possibly sustained during the December fight.

The last week that a medical examiner determined that his death was a homicide.
