- A woman found dead in her garage was the mother of the knife-wielding man fatally shot by police at the home over the weekend, Maryland officials said. Anne Arundel County police officers arrived at the Glen Burnie home Sunday after a 911 caller said a male family member with a knife had chased her from the home. The caller also said a woman who lived there couldn't be accounted for, according to a news release from the attorney general's office. (KOB)
- An Old Mill High School employee accused of sexually assaulting a student was arrested Tuesday, authorities said. Anne Arundel County Police officers identified the suspect as 30-year-old Fulgencio Salomon Jolon of Glen Burnie. (Glen Burnie Patch)
- Police said they heard word Wednesday of a pedestrian shot after an attempted robbery along a Glen Burnie street. Officers responded to the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center around 3:40 a.m. for the injured man. The 39 year old was walking on Mayo Road near Old Stage Road when an unknown male approached in a gray sedan. Police said the suspect demanded the victim's property, but the pedestrian refused.
