Vandalism At Glen Burnie Church Prompts Hate Crime Investigation
Police said two teens used a piece of concrete to damage a memorial at Saint Alban's Episcopal Church in Anne Arundel County.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — Anne Arundel County police are investigating an act of vandalism at a Glen Burnie church as a hate crime, authorities said.
According to police, two teenagers — a male and a female — broke off a piece of concrete from a flower bed at Saint Alban's Episcopal Church and used it to damage a memorial plaque in the church's garden. The incident happened Sunday around 6 p.m., police said.
Church staff contacted police Monday morning after noticing the damage, department spokesperson Marc Limansky told the Baltimore Banner.

According to police, the incident is being investigated as a hate crime because a religious entity owns the damaged property.
