What Road in Glen Burnie Needs a Speed Bump?
We asked Patch readers on Facebook what streets they thought needed a speed bump. Find out what your neighbors told us.

Glen Burnie, MD- Over 9,000 fatalities occurred nationally during 2014 due to speeding according to the latest statistics from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The data also shows a correlation between a driver’s age and the likelihood of a speed-related accident. As the age of a driver increases, their risk of being in an accident decreases. Men are also more likely to be at the wheel during a speeding accident, according to the study.
While the number of speed-related fatalities have continually decreased since 2005, speeding still remains an issue in many of our Patch communities, including Glen Burnie. Readers suggested everything from increased police presence to more stop signs to building less housing to keep traffic at bay.

- "Virginia Ave NW off of Crain."
- "Lincoln Drive off of Solely Road. People use it as a through way from Marley Neck Road to Solley to avoid going the long way around and they fly through. There are so many kids playing and it's very dangerous."
- "None! There are two on Stewart Ave and they don't work! People who are the worst speed offenders just blow right through them and people who slow for them - and want to speed - just speed right back up after. They are a waste of money in my opinion!"
- "Bertram Circle"
- "Ritchie Hwy so on Friday and Saturday nights people can't drag race!"
- "The hell with speed bumps, they need to re-pave all the roads in my neighborhood. They're in horrible shape."
- "Point Pleasant!"
